The Hamden Professional Firefighters recently sent a fundraising letter to every Hamden town resident. Our letter [shown left] is the only fundraising request for our union that residents will receive, as we no longer use phone solicitation of any type.
Last year, because of the dramatic down-turn in the national economy, our membership voted to cancel any fundraising effort until the fall of 2009. During the past year, although it has been difficult, we have continued to support local community events and groups through financial donations and membership involvement.
Thank you for your consideration of our fundraising letter, and for the tremendous support of the Hamden Community during our MDA "FillThe Boot" Campaign over Labor Day.
